The Parowan Gap Petroglyphs is an incredibly interesting location with well preserved ancient petroglyphs that are very clear and easy to see.
The walk from the parking lot on the east is a mild and quick walk that goes right past some very clear imagery. We’ve stopped here on multiple road trips with the kids and with the grandparents. Everyone loves this little piece of history.
There is, unfortunately, a bit of vandalism primarily from before this location began to be protected.
Just 15 minutes or so off the freeway makes this a great stop for anyone passing through. Definitely worth the stop!

One gap in that obstacle became a natural portal for native people...and a natural place to leave directions, messages, stories, and inspirations for those who would follow.
