This is a nice spot at the base of the mountains about 3 or so miles east of Mount Pleasant. Small playground, picnic tables, camping spots, and a grass area, plus there are restrooms open during the summer months. We often see squirrels, blue jays, magpies, and deer here. Some friends saw a black bear here last year. I also once saw a brown weasel or something similar. The key is going at the right time. In winter this is a fun spot we take our kids to play in the snow (we live in Mount Pleasant). In spring it's nice especially in May and June but eventually mosquitoes come out, usually in early July. We usually stay away for a while then start coming here again in September and October as the leaves start changing colors on the maple trees.
