This is a nice spot at the base of the mountains about 3 or so miles east of Mount Pleasant. Small playground, picnic tables, camping spots, and a grass area, plus there are restrooms open during the summer months. We often see squirrels, blue jays, magpies, and deer here. Some friends saw a black bear here last year. I also once saw a brown weasel or something similar. The key is going at the right time. In winter this is a fun spot we take our kids to play in the snow (we live in Mount Pleasant). In spring it's nice especially in May and June but eventually mosquitoes come out, usually in early July. We usually stay away for a while then start coming here again in September and October as the leaves start changing colors on the maple trees. A favorite local spot, much better than your typical city park in these little rural towns in central Utah.

It's a great park to go out for a picnic and it's easy to get to. It's great to take a dog but best to keep them leashed up. Very pretty and plenty of space. There is a walking path behind the picnic areas but beware if you have dogs, there are little spike balls that will stick very badly to any type of fur.

This park has a ton of shade and great hammock trees. The park is narrow with the canyon road running right through the middle, so there were lots of side-by-sides racing up and down, but it was worth it for the cool shade and sound of rushing water.
