Wow… what a best place to do skydive. I mean it’s a beautiful location to do skydive because of mountains on almost all sides.
Strong points: When you go up, the mountains view is really worth while free fall or through the airplanes. I would prefer land with mountains rather than on water because it’s the water you see if it’s ocean. If the sky is clear and weather permits, they even allow or decides higher altitude than the actual one on the fly. So you would have more free fall even if it’s in seconds. They have video and photo options or packages as well. The place is basically located on flat land which so-round by mountains all the sides which makes it safer and more beautiful. I guess you could walk in directly which is what we did. But better schedule it to make sure your spot is reserved as it’s so limited especially these days. All the gear will be provided by them.
Minus points: If the weather doesn’t allow, it might get cancelled. Even if there are higher winds. So plan accordingly and be prepared to reschedule or cancellations. If the weather stills allows but somewhat bad, they would do much lower altitude jump than actual one.
Other Suggestions: Make sure you dress nicely. Don’t wear tight skin dresses or too loose dresses as they make you look bad in photos or videos. Refer videos for dress/color options on YouTube before you go. I still regret I didn’t wear properly enough to look good in videos. It’s not their fault. It’s just that bright sunny day makes it harder even with advanced cameras in the sky. Probably try to eat less before you go. But eat enough so you would have energy. Follow instructions carefully. Ask them again and again if you can’t hear/understand properly as it would be important...
Read moreSo surreal. I was one of those people who when asked if I would ever skydive answer "meh". I never thought the opportunity would arise, cause I doubted I would ever seek it out. Well, my husband surprised me with a trip to jump. I kept thinking I'd back out, that there was no way I'd go through with it. My husband was excited to go since he already had experience jumping out of planes in the military. My best friend did it for one of her birthdays. I figured if she could do it, so could I. I felt a little anxious about it, but not as much as I expected. When I saw my husband and his jumper leave the plane I knew there was no turning back, my turn had arrived. When you feel the brisk air swirling around you and the ground so far away, surreal is the only word I can think of. A sense of calm never experienced before came over me. I have always been an anxious person, so it was unbelievable to me that in this moment, I was at peace. Ever since them my life has been different. Things that used to bother me or stress me out, don't. Jumping gave me such a profound refraining of what is truly important and what you should just let go of. Surrender to what is. We only have this one life, you have to take those chances and have those mind bending, life refraining experiences. Cause in the end, it's the people we love and the experiences we share that make life incredible. Those are the moments that will come back when you ask yourself, have you truly lived? I suggest you do it. It will...
Read moreWe celebrated a remarkable year of birthdays with Skydive Colorado: my mom turned 80, my husband 60, and my daughter 30. To honor these significant occasions AND have three generations experience the thrill of skydiving together, we chose Skydive Colorado. We are SOOO glad we did! From the moment we checked in, where our grandchildren were welcomed with stickers, the staff treated us as if we were the only jumpers that day (and we weren't). Our tandem instructors, Ryan and Cole, were genuinely passionate about their roles, keeping the excitement level high while ensuring we felt completely safe. This allowed us to fully embrace every second of this experience, marking both first-time and commemorative jumps for all four of us.
Thank you, Ryan, Cole, and Skydive Colorado, for exceeding our expectations as this adventure was more than just a thrill; it was a celebration of our family, and the guts to embrace new experiences at any age! We are SO grateful and (days later)...
