Nice table areas to enjoy cooler lunches. My oldest is 11, then I have 2 boys 4 and 1. They ALL loved this stop. My oldest especially enjoyed reading the info on local wildlife. The Boys took the opportunity to get some energy out and enjoy snacks. (we were on an impromptu trip to the grand canyon from phoenix area) We will be visiting any time we might be back in the area. -- Maybe it's because we are Midwesterns' but this was a hidden little gem to me (and kids) ... we just don't have these gorgeously scenic places accidently discoverable anywhere NEAR home... ππ ..

The views are phenomenal, there is actually a monument for ADOT workers that have lost their lives while working in the field trying to keep travelers safe, names, ages, years employed... The works. Bathrooms are kept clean and they smell fresh, there are snack machines, beverage machines, always in working order and well stocked, as well as doggie areas that are kept clean. Lastly, if u have the time to take a gander there is a wealth of information hanging on the walls of the buildings all around the rest area. From maps, to info on the local surroundings as well as info on all of the desert wildlife that inhabit the area. AND all u need to know about the venomous creatures, insects, reptiles & the like that u need to look out for. Sssooo... A great BIG THANK U to all who work so hard at keeping Sunset Point Rest Area the cleanest, the most informational, the most interesting and the most BEE-UTE-IFULL rest area I've ever had the pleasure of...
