Saw a sign for 9600ft so the big girl was struggling up the inclines, driving in deep valleys then suddenly its as if the valley was inverted and you are driving along a mountain ridge... with no edge protection. The road seems to go off the top of the world and wind through The canyons dropping thousands of feet along the way(as I recall). The grades are surprisingly steep and as high as any I have seen in the United States. We stopped at every location that we could and found unique information at a rest stop.
