Ade, Liz Bradie & Brett SW tour July '18 If I was driving a car along here it would have been a bit more enjoyable, but a 32ft RV??? Saw a sign for 9600ft so the big girl was struggling up the inclines, driving in deep valleys then suddenly its as if the valley was inverted and you are driving along a mountain ridge... with no edge protection. It looked a very, very long way down. Absolutely stunning scenery but not for those of a nervous disposition.... my wife and kids were very quiet for a while...... Just the road for a fast...

This is a spectacular road and it is difficult to imagine how it was built. The road seems to go off the top of the world and wind through The canyons dropping thousands of feet along the way(as I recall). The grades are surprisingly steep and as high as any I have seen in the United States. We stopped at every location that we could and found unique information at a rest stop. There are surprising views and it is easy to see a lot of Territory between the Henry mountains and Navajo Mountain, which is in on the...

The entire length of Highway 12 is incredible but this short section was the highlight. I'm used to driving curvy, narrow mountain and canyon roads but this freaked me out. I was wondering what would happen if one side started to collapse. We were lucky because there were no other vehicles on the road. I could inch along slowly and enjoy the experience. One of the most exciting portions of a roadway I have ever traveled on. And I'm an old guy with a mighty...

I thought I was going to die. We rented a small 25 foot RV and decided on this rout to go from capitol reef to lower calf creek falls. This was the very worst decision to make. There are NO GUARD RAILS, you start of with two sharp cliffs on each side of the tight two lane road and continue on a very winding road with a massive canyon the whole way down. Take it slow and bring a SMALL CAR.
