We held a birthday party out here and it was lovely! There are covered and uncovered picnic benches all along the way, as well as pullouts to park and walk around. On Hal Gras Road there is a picnic area called Ironwood Picnic Area. The road itself is about a mile long and there are covered and uncovered picnic tables. At the end of the road are picnic areas under large trees. The restrooms are clean, as are the water fountains. There are no hand washing stations. This is a wonderful area for a light hike. Tucson Mountain Park Range has to be one of the most stunning places in all of Arizona. This region is truly an Arizona Desert in all it's beauty. The Saguaro Scenery is some of the best worldwide, and every time I pass through the park I am reminded of this. Stayed at the B & B. right behind a healthy food restaurant Coyote Pause. It's quiet and peaceful. 25 minutes and I was home on the east side after checkout. Great food, gas station, donut shop. And art galleries. My fav was Affairs of the Art. Picked up a print and some patchouli body butter from local owned Beyond-Organic. Going back to add Desert Museum and Observatory At B & B to my itinerary . Need a good therapist? Peggy @ Compassionate Therapy. On Western way is great. Down to earth and...
