One of the must visit places in cottonwood canyon. Its short 2 mile round trip hike but its mostly uphill and you gain elevation of may be 600ft in that distance which makes this hike moderate and hard for some hiker. But its worth the effort given its only one mile of hiking up. At the end you will ve rewarded with the beautiful twin lake reservoir. There used to be two lakes but since they blithe dam it has merged to just one so don't be surprised if you don't see two lakes at the end of twil lake trail head. Its very...

Took the Silver lake trail from Silver lake Visitor Center up to the Twin Lake Reservoir and trail. PLEASE know that the last half of Twin lake Reservoir is EXTREMELY steep going up! If you plan to go with small children or less experienced people KNOW this fact! We actually saw a mommy moose with her baby! It was really cool to see them that close.
