A few things for my 1 star review here and the majority of this has to do with the DNR. As far as landscapes go, it's actually a pretty sweet spot. But i would only recommend using this place for day use and go someplace else to camp. My party which consisted on 10-12 people camped on the northwest side of the lake. Land as far as the eye can see and yet 2 different sets of people camped right on top of us. No clue of what common decency whatsoever.
There are "quite hours" for this recreation area which is normally a non issue. For the record, I have zero issues enforcing that if you are being loud and disrupting other campsites. But the DNR officer came over to our site and issued a "warning" telling us to turn down our music which for the record was neither loud or disrupting anyone around us even though they were within 50 yards of our campsite (their choice). There was light wind and if you walked 25 yards away with the light breeze in the air you could not hear anything. My toddler was sound asleep in our tent 25 yards away from our campfire.
So we did, not a half an hour later, the same Smug Mustache wearing DNR officer comes back and writes a ticket for "Loud Music" when pressed if the ticket was because it was loud or if it was simply just on, he wouldn't answer "I don't have to answer that" and when pressed several times he relented said that the ticket is simply because the music was "on"
Land as far as the eye can see and a ticket is issued for something as petty as that. My family has been camping to many different spots in the great state of Utah and the surrounding states but this was ridiculous. Would not recommend this recreation area unfortunately other than day use. If the DNR is going to treat visitors like that i am not interested in going back. Plenty of other...
Read moreWorst customer service I have ever experienced. I was transferred 4 separate times and was even sent to an entirely different state. I just wanted to downgrade to a smaller campsite because less people were coming and didn’t want to take away from other campers with more people. You could tell the first person who “helped” me hated their job. Their name was Ronnie and completely behaved inappropriately, telling me to stop talking and that I needed to “listen” because they didn’t like repeating themselves. Finally after 30 minutes of trying to get this person to cooperate and confirm my new reservations, everything is supposedly taken care of. I was sent a confirmation email with wrong information so I decided to use their texting option and this is where Darlene comes into the picture. I explained to her my situation and she briefly confirmed my reservation. Darlene kept asking if there was anything else they could do for me and I asked them simply if they could lower the quantity of people on the reservation. They then proceeded to tell me no and that I needed to do that myself on the website. I tried to explain to her that the website wasn’t giving me any access and asked if she could make the change for me. Apparently that was too much work because Darlene tells me she can’t do anything and then sent me the reservation hotline center number PASS closing time so I couldn’t even call in if I wanted to. All Darlene said was tough luck and to call in on Monday, which is a day after my reservation. The management of this park is completely unprofessional, and inadequate with their customer service because they did NOTHING but make the situation harder. Save your money, book...

Yuba State Park is a hidden gem in central Utah, offering a perfect mix of outdoor recreation, wide-open scenery, and relaxation. Set around the beautiful Yuba Reservoir, it’s a destination where families, boaters, anglers, and campers can all find something to love.
🏞 Scenery & Atmosphere: The reservoir is the centerpiece — a sparkling stretch of water surrounded by desert hills and open skies. Sunsets here are stunning, painting the lake in warm oranges and purples. It has a more relaxed, uncrowded vibe compared to some of Utah’s other parks, making it ideal if you’re looking to escape the busier destinations.
🚤 Activities: • Boating & Water Sports: Popular for speedboats, jet skis, paddleboards, and kayaks. • Fishing: Known for walleye, perch, northern pike, and trout — a favorite spot for anglers. • Camping: Multiple campgrounds and primitive sites available, many with direct lake access. • Swimming & Beaches: Several sandy spots perfect for cooling off in summer. • Off-Roading & Trails: Nearby areas allow ATV and OHV exploration.
🅿️ Access & Amenities: There are multiple campgrounds and day-use areas with picnic tables, fire pits, and restrooms. Some campgrounds offer hookups for RVs, while others are more primitive.
