We were visiting in the area for a week. Called to book two flights - for five people. Brook and Nick were SUPER nice. The website is very informative. And they answered all our additional questions over the phone. Including best time to fly, cost, group rates, etc. The shuttle was on time to pick us up the morning of the flight. Before which, they called to let us know that a fire 50 miles up valley had grown overnight and was making the valley hazy. Anyway, we decided to go over and see what it was like. Not having flown in the area before, I could not tell what was great versus not great visibility. 5 minutes into the flight, Nick, our pilot, said "It's not going to be great, and I don't want you to have a less than great experience. So if want to turn back, I'll refund you the entire cost." I felt that was awfully generous of him. I expect most other places would have just taken advantage of an out-of-town family. Or at least charged for the takeoff and landing. We came back and fixed up to fly the next morning. Unfortunately had to cancel again, on account of the haze. (Due to an unseasonable heat wave, we could not fly in the afternoons, by when the wind had cleared the smoke out of the valley.) We we'll definitely do this next time we are in the area. I'd recommend without hesitation this professional, friendly, customer-focused company to anyone who wants to add to their experience of Zion and Kolob canyons. (If you can't afford the flight, make time for the 20 minute movie at the Museum inside Zion...
Read moreAn epic ride
An amazing way to experience what is some of the most breathtaking terrain on the planet.
While the tour doesn’t fly over the park, I think that’s a good thing as you don’t want the sound of helicopters while trekking, it honestly doesn’t matter as the scenery around the park itself is equally amazing from the air. A helicopter is the perfect way to take it all in.
The Zion Helo crew were no fuss and straight about costs etc. This not being a cheap proposition, especially when you do a private ride like we did. But it was well worth it. Our pilot was Jordan, who is a real character and skilled pilot. We felt safe and secure throughout while still maintaining the excitement. It’s nice to have a real exchange with someone as being Aussies in America it can sometimes be a little less authentic than we’d like. But Jordan was the real deal on multiple levels, knowledgeable, deft touch on the cyclic / collective and fun.
Our choice was the 55 mile plus Butte landing for a quick stop before RTB. This was really nice touch to have an extra take-off/landing, have a drink, chat and take it all on from on high.
This was one of the best helicopter experiences my wife and I have done. A combination of the epic terrain and pilot Jordan. It was the perfect end to a week on the ground doing the treks in the park rounding it out with a thrill ride from above. Very...
Read moreWith so many fun options I had a hard time deciding on which tour to choose. I called in twice before I was finally ready to reserve my flight! Usually I feel like I'm bothering someone if I ask them to explain things to me, but both times I called in the staff were extremely helpful in explaining how their tours work as well as helping me find a tour that I could add onto as a solo traveler.
I am scared of heights and have never been on a helicopter so the initial start- up and lifting off the ground were slightly intimidating for me. By the time our flight ended I was wishing I had just gone for the 55 mile + Butte landing! (I did the 35 mile)
Our pilot Briac was knowledgeable about the area and his level of comfort inside the helicopter as well as his clear love of flying helped me feel more at ease during my flight.
Overall beautiful experience. If I could have changed anything about the experience it's that I would have done the longer flight + landing.
Click the "get directions" link directly from your confirmation email and watch out for a helicopter on the side of the road. If you're like me and you stress out about finding where you're going, trust me, you won't miss this place.
I would highly recommend Zion...
