Haunted Lake — Attraction in Francestown

This has always been a beautiful lake and I've always enjoyed coming here, however, I'm disappointed with the management in hiring incompetent lifeguards this year. I've never had a problem launching my paddleboard from the beach as long as it was not busy and outside the ropes. However, when I got there, the lifeguards were extremely rude to us, and even threatened to call the cops on us just for harmlessly trying to launch our paddleboard. This situation was a prim example of someone making a mountain out of a mole hill. I understand that some people's goal in life is to be a burden to others, but I'd be appreciative if it was kept out of my own life.

I hope the management is able to fix this for next year.

Small. Lots of weeds and milfoil. Lifeguards check to see if you are a resident before swimming. Limited parking, cars have been broken into as well so don’t leave valuables inside. Spotted several snakes near the beach as well....
