So this is just a huge rock BUT how it was formed makes you think how amazing our world is. Anyways, signs are clear for the direction for this BUT you could only access if you are northbound of I-93, use the exits at flume gorge if you are from the north and traversing the southbound. There is also a viewing deck which we did not see how far it goes. Parking space is not alot but people would not stay long after taking pics

A man killed and skinned his horse to wrap himself in the hide and spend the night under this rock a few hundred years ago. (Did George Lucas get the inspiration for the scene in the second Star Wars movie from this?) Rescuers found him the next morning under the ledge still wrapped I. The frozen horse hide but alive. With the nice interstate roaring by now it is hard to imagine the way it once was

Every time we take the trip to Lincoln we have to visit Boise Rock for my daughter. It is what it says it is a rock a big rock but she loves the opportunity to climb up and take pictures and in this day and age where smiling is at a minimum I will take it.

Every time we take the trip to Lincoln we have to visit Boise Rock for my daughter. It is what it says it is a rock a big rock but she loves the opportunity to climb up and take pictures and in this day and age where smiling is at a minimum I will take it.

Not a whole lot going on here at Boise Rock, to be honest. Although there is an outhouse for those looking to use a bathroom while traversing the Notch, which can be a little light on amenities. But that’s kind of the thing that makes Franconia Notch so rustic and...
