Coppermine Trail — Attraction in Franconia

Bridal Veil Falls is one of the best easy/moderate day hikes year round. Coppermine Trail is accessible via a short road walk from the parking area, with room for about 6 or 7 vehicles. Five miles, round trip with 1100 feet of elevation gain. The trip to the falls carries you through a mature, mixed forest with excellent brookside scenery. There is also a shelter near the falls for a lingering lunch or an overnight stay. The falls present beautifully, especially with a good water flow or covered in ice and snow. Coppermine Trail Franconia NH Easy for most part. Only issue was payoff waterfall with swim basin at end of trail was almost impossible to get to. Could see it but no real trail on either side of slippery rocks. Attempted both only to still have to traverse slippery rocks. I can remember taking this trail like 20years ago. Remember that I was able to walk right up to base of waterfall and wade into basin. 20 years of high water run off has changed this section of the trail brutally. Hope people who volunteer trail work can improve that last...
