My husband and I love exploring and experiencing historical sites and were very excited to visit Robert Frost's home. The property itself is well-kept and the view from his porch is beautiful. There is a 20 minute video on Robert Frost available for viewing in the barn. We did wish there were more items/memorabilia about or belonging to Robert Frost but we do realize they may not have had access to more items. They have a nature trail that one can walk behind the property with his poems posted along the way. From what we understood, it is still a work in progress though as it felt more like a walk through masses of weeds. We like the idea but I imagine it takes time to cultivate a beautiful botanical walk. We enjoyed being able to say we had been there but it only took about 30-45 of our time in all.

This is not your flashy tourist site. If you want to know how the Frost family lived in the 20's where some of Robert's most iconic poems were written, then plan a stop. The home is simple, the barn visitor center has a gift shop and friendly attendents. There is a video worth watching about the Frost's time in Franconia. For no other reason, come and walk the trail behind the house and see the inspiring views from his study window.

We visited in the morning and toured the farmhouse and grounds; even found a few apples that we liked. Plenty signs of bears in the area and the young lady minding the place said there were quite a few bears in the area. Several parts of the house were roped off but one can get an idea of the place as it existed when Robert Frost and his family lived here. There are plenty of photos and items on exhibit.

Tried to visit this historic place today despite rainy weather in my class C RV. The parking lot entrance is NOT leveled so there’s no way for any vehicle except a truck or SUV that sits high above ground to get in and out of the tiny parking lot without hitting its bottom to the floor. The ENTRANCE to the driveways to both neighbors before & after this parking lot are perfectly level and I could even turn around my 26.5’ RV in them BUT it’s a shame that this historic place hasn’t done a decent job doing the same so the public...

What a great site. The small barn behind the house is set up as a museum and gift shop, and the tour starts there with a video about Robert Frost. Then you can walk a beautiful path with markers that have Frost quotes and tour the house that is much like it would have been when he lived there. It's a gorgeous area--we even enjoyed the walk from the parking area to the house. They tell a fascinating story about how Frost came to live there and other interesting anecdotes about an interesting man. A thoroughly...
