State Game Lands Number 36 — Attraction in Franklin Township

Good deer hunting with very little hunting pressure during the rifle season. It's dotted with hunting camps but I saw only 4 other hunters on the 2019 buck season rifle opener, and 3 of them were together. Mostly hardwoods and laurels. Most of this area is steep and mountainous, so you kind of need to be in decent shape to hunt it well. But if you have decent boots, a good heart and a good pair of legs, you'll practically have the place to yourself.
