SuperDive — Attraction in Franklin Township

I want to Thank Nicole Z, founder and Ceo of Superdive Scuba for another phenomenal scuba trip. While it was a quick trip to Cozumel it was not short of fun or education. Nicole has been my instructor for both my Open water and Advanced Open water certifications as well as my tour guild on multiple exotic vacations. I was blessed to have her as my instructor. She is incredibly kind, down to earth, patient and informative. It is clear that she loves teaching Scuba. Her style of teaching makes you feel like you are being taught by a dear friend who wants to share their passion and does it with your utmost safety in mind. But don't think she will just pass you for a wink and a smile, she makes you work for it. There were several skills we had to practice before she passed me, while never making me feel silly or uncomfortable. On an different trip altogether I must give her credit for potentially saving my life. While at a 100 feet down and in 50 degree water on a wreck dive I began to panic. I was hyperventilating and convinced it was all over. That dive could have ended very badly, instead Nicole calmly took my hand, made eye contact, began underwater signing different directions and trying to distract me from my panic. At no time did she seem nervous or unsure of what to do. This of course helped me feel more in control. After a few minutes of careful monitoring she recognized that she had calmed me down, she asked me if I wanted to end the dive and start ascending slowly. While I was shaken by my self induced panic I was so reassured by her calm yet take charge manner that we decided to carry on with the dive. The rest of the trip was fantastic. I respect Nicole as an instructor, business woman and friend. Its very clear that she takes pride in her work and business. I have taken multiple classes and trips she has offered and will...

I’m so glad I found SuperDive! I’ve been wanting to learn to freedive with the goal of spearfishing for a while now and decided I need to make it happen. Nicole has taken me from absolute day one clunky beginner to being able to do a 4:17 static breath hold and max depth of 53 feet in a relatively short amount of time and has taught me to equalize effectively.

They offer certifications in scuba, mermaiding, and freediving. To me the real value is in the regular community pool sessions. They have lanes set up for people to practice each activity. It’s awesome because I get opportunities to practice with some intermediate and advanced freedivers. Robbie, who teaches scuba, has had me do various underwater exercises with weights and I love all that stuff. The merfolk are all decked out in shiny tales and look like they’re having so much fun. One day I will try that.

They plan regular dive trips. I just went on the Florida springs trip and it was AMAZING. I got to dive in a different location everyday. I had a really nice time.

Superdive is an overall inviting and supportive community. If you’re in NYC it’s definitely the most accessible place to learn freediving and mermaiding. I don’t if there are other places that let people practice scuba in the pool after certification but...

I had an incredible experience starting my Open Water Diver certification with SuperDive Scuba.

I reached out to the owner Nicole to get some guidance on certification. From the beginning she was helpful, informative, professional, and set me up with everything I needed to get started.

After finishing my exam through PADI, I scheduled my pool sessions with Nicole. I knew from the jump that I was in great hands. Her and her team took the time to go over everything I needed to know, and then some. They answered every question I had with great detail. There wasn’t a single moment I felt uncomfortable. Superdive Scuba creates a seriously awesome learning environment.

I chose to do the open water dive part of my certification in the Bahamas, but I can’t stress enough how prepared I felt going into these dives. The instructors at the Bahamas dive shop were impressed by how much I already knew as a beginner, thank you Nicole and team!

Nicole has also helped me navigate the (very confusing to a beginner) world of SCUBA gear. When you’re starting out you definitely want an instructor who will remain a resource to you as you progress. I found that with Superdive.
