My son and I celebrated his 24th birthday at Arrowhead Acres and were not disappointed. This is a very beautiful farm/winery. The tastings were done like a flight, which was genius. I think it's a Covid precaution, but I loved doing a tasting this way. We picked our wines and she marked each on the box so we knew which was which as we tried them. We were able to take our time with each wine (3oz pours). All of the wines were good and we even stopped mid-tasting to get food at the deli counter, which they brought back to our table in the tasting room. My son had the special (roast beef and horseradish that day) and I had the chicken salad on fresh baked bread. Oh, that bread!๐๐ After we finished our tasting we headed outside to see the farm and enjoy the breeze. I was hoping to see the goats they show in their pictures but alas, no goats on that day. I'm not sure if they bring them out ever but hope to see them next time I'm there. We will absolutely be back! The setting is beautiful, the food and wine were good, the place was very cute, the staff was friendly and my husband and I love a farm winery so he'll want...

We went in after reading reviews with the hopes to get coffee, sandwiches, pastries and do a wine tasting. We walked into a cute farm store, but as we ordered our coffees we noticed an abundance of flies that kept landing on us and all the surrounding food. So we skipped the sandwiches and baked goods to head into the tasting room which had a lot less flies and was very nicely decorated! The girl behind the bar was sweet and friendly, but picked up a cork that fell on the floor and placed it right into a tasting bottle without cleaning it. We had ordered a tasting flight, and when it came to our table the glasses were dirty. The wine tasted decent, and the Riesling was rather nice. However the overall lack of cleanliness and regard to sanitation made us feel very uncomfortable. We even noticed mold on the ceiling. If this place had been busy at the time, or if we just had skipped through the bakery area, we may not even have noticed; ignorance is bliss. For a place that had such potential I give it 2 stars when I feel it's something they could...
ย ย ย Read more5.11.24 My 2nd visit and once again, loved their sandwich, bought the raisin cinnamon bread and it was amazing. Bought a couple bottles of wine, and had a couple of the desserts. We didn't buy any plants, but foe those interested, there were beautiful hanging baskets too. 1st visit here, 1.27.24, and what a pleasant surprise. You can purchase fresh, made breads, pastries, cheese, sandwiches, coffee, etc. I tried 4 of their wines and liked them all. The tasting room has a fireplace, so it's a great way to enjoy a cold winter day. The veggie panini was made with their bread, made on site, and it was delicious. I bought a loaf to bring home it was that good. There was ample parking and all the staff was very friendly and great to talk to. The decor is a comfy, rustic feel, with lots of collectibles and antique-type accents. This venue is another example of the great "things-to-see" and visit in CT and...
