One of our favorite summer parks. So our first trip here we only lasted about 30 minutes here and didn't see ourselves coming back. It was our first time and our son was overwhelmed with all of the new stuff. Add that on top of being I'll prepared for this park and it being 90 outside. Needless to say we came back a few weeks later with our own chairs and some snacks and drinks. We stayed for almost 4 hours and it became one we put into our loop of parks we go to weekly. There is a nice small shaded area about 60 feet from the entrance to the park (there is only 1 entrance/exit) the shaded area has electricity hook ups, picnic tables, garbages, and plenty of shade for those sunny days. Right off of the park there is a trail that goes through a nice wooded area if your kids are into that. There is a men's and women's bathroom as well as a family restroom. This is also a very handicap friendly park that has 1 of only 20 of the wheel chair Swings in the US. There is a small reading area for kids and or parents, a young kid area as well as a big kid area. Parking is kind of small but I have never had to park in the overflow...
Read moreReally big playground, loved how it's by other parks/pathways and bike trails so it's something you have room to explore. The park is really clean and it is a great space to have a birthday party. Plenty to play on, very modern, and very safe/sturdy. Bathrooms, however, were actually pretty dirty. But when you have a bunch of kids running around, things are bound to get dirty. We had a blast playing on both halves of the park which is split up for smaller and bigger kids (super nice variety for kids big and small, with any capability, especially when you have a group that's a mixture of all types). I wish we had had the opportunity to go onto those others pathways and explore a bit more but the pavilion with picnic tables gave us plenty of room to spread out! A lot is wheelchair accessible and they have stuff that mom and dad can fit on too which is always a plus for the parents/grandparents (or even great-grandparents!) who want to join in on the fun! And, surprisingly, the park wasn't overly crowded like we thought it might be. We'll definitely be coming back here when we...
Read moreThis is a nice and very new playground, clearly aimed at accessibility. It supports typical playground activities, such as climbing, swings, and crossing bars, but did so with a diverse array of equipment, making this accessible to people with different abilities. For example, there is a wide variety of swings, including ones for toddlers, parents with little ones, and even a wheel chair swing. The main climbing area have wide ramps with mild inclines for wheel chairs. Also, the merry-go-round is at ground level with safety did for chairs. There is a lot of space in the playground and some seating around. There are bathrooms, but they are only open seasonally (currently they are closed - March)--this can be the downside, since there are not really any places nearby with facilities, so plan accordingly. There are also open green spaces, a pavilion, and walking path nearby too. So, it really has something for almost everyone. Very nice...
