22 miles / 35 km hike on the Southern New England Trunkline Trail, from MA and RI into CT. It took me 9 hours to finish in a single day hike. Even though the trail is paved, level, and well-graded, the long distance really punished my feet, my toes felt the blisters coming on. But I made it all the way to the Tri-State Marker, the border point between Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. Overall the trail was great, wide open and maintained, except short section near East Blackstone when the trail became just a fox path. And when crossing towns, you will have to find the trail head again, there were disconnect in Blackstone Village and another one near the route 146 which led me to the side of route 146. #hiking #SouthernNewEnglandTrunkline #tristatemarker

Really nice, easy going experience. People and dogs were very kind and I was being very courteous with my power bike. Clean, clear trail suitable for both walking out riding. The 2nd half of Fox Run Road in Bellingham was my favorite but after crossing the Main Street bridge tunnel, you should turn back because although the path continues all the way to Douglas, it is really treacherous. A lot of it is overgrown, and sections of it are covered in gravel out looks like people have been building it up for mountain biking. Lastly, once you get to Harris Pond there is a locked fence just before Farm Street. Which is where I turned back.

You can park the opposite side of the trail head near the Franklin water treatment plant. I would say there's around 10 slots available. I've not seen it fully occupied. The trail is bike friendly and flat for the most part. I did not catch any ticks since I stayed on the path. But take a bug spray or a hat with a net. And it's dog friendly too. I've taken my toddler on the stroller so no issues on taking a stroller on the trail. And runner friendly. There are mile post markers so you can turn back if you reach your mileage.
