This new family owned and operated business hosted our December Sip-and-Paint last night, during a time when most everything connected to in-person entertainment is canceled. I want to thank them! The farm is in itās first year and is still growing itās grass (literally.) With that said, IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that if you visit them, you wear proper footing, preferably work, snow, or rain BOOTS! If thereās been precipitation and itās too warm for frozen ground, there will be MUD. The reindeer, Blitzen and Moodolph were as āmagicalā as the farm owner described them. Thereās a great sleigh in the barn for photos. A crackling fire burned in a pit and beautiful Christmas music played outside along with a food truck offering a bite to eat and a Logan county Vineyard on site in a wine cart that served the most delicious, warm like apple cider, spiced red wine. I hope if you visit them, youāll get a chance to talk to the daughter of the farmās owners. When she talks about the reindeer you can actually hear Christmas spirit in her young voice. Get out of the house, take a countryside drive, and support this LOCAL new business. Grab a sweet at the gift shop from The Pie Queen from Boyce General Store on your way out the door and have yourself a merry little Christmas, yāall!
-note to farm owners; Again thank you for hosting our event and for your patience as I was the last one done. If I might make one suggestion to yāall besides tackling that thick red mud(š£ sorry.) Consider more photo opts, specifically Christmas lights. Plus youād be able to attract people off I-65 with twinkling holiday splendor.
Iām done. Thanks for reading. I hope we all end this crazy year better than we started it. Happy Holidays and a safe and healthy new...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe visited the Reindeer Farm today with our family including two kids, 14 and 9, and my in-laws. It was a lovely experience. There are multiple options of things to do and plenty of room so you aren't crowded. You can make a half day or day of it by taking advantage of all of the activities. If you rush through, you will lose out on all that can be done there, but if you really look at all there is to do and see it is certainly worth it. There are food options, play options for small kids, a train ride, petting area, place to do smores by the fire, winery truck, and an up close experience with the reindeer if you wish to add it on. Santa was there and taking pics (FREE) in a variety of areas. The staff were all so friendly and knowledgeable. It was so neat hearing all about the reindeer from the owner, Jessica. This is a family owned business and it has that vibe, which if you ask me is the best kind of way to spend time with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went with a family group of 10 people, 6 adults and 4 kids. We got the Santa & Mrs. Claus Reindeer Encounter. The entire staff of the farm were extremely friendly and very helpful including numerous young people. When I told the nice lady at the at the ticket window/cashier counter that I was impressed with the manners and assistance from all the staff, including the young ones, she said that they were all her grandbabies... so It appears the Reindeer Farm is a family business. Santa & Mrs. Claus were very patient with all of our photo requests... We took one large group photo of us all, two of the individual family units we brought, and then several kid pictures including siblings together, then cousins, then just the girls, then just the boys... all the while the staff and Santa were pleasant and accommodating. Would definitely recommend it... a great Christmas destination! Thank you all for...
