Durso Hills Winery and Bistro aka Victoria Vineyards — Attraction in Fredericktown

Arrived on 5/12/24 around 1215pm, upon entering the area is adequately pretty. The main building entrance is a restaurant, they have no signs showing the winery area, nor where to taste. We were in line with 3 other couples. Decent amount of folks and staff walking around and all looking at us. NOT ONE member of staff acknowledged anyone standing in line, just a glare. I made a bee line for the "bar" area to ask about wine to be told go back in line for the restaurant. I stated I'm not here for food, only wine, I only got a death glare. We promptly left. They need to know how to acknowledge customers, and have better signs, on top of it the food coming out look mediocre at best. Spend your money elsewhere. PS.. LEARN TO ACKNOWLEDGE CUSTOMERS.. Had a late lunch early dinner with my wife and friend who lives in the area. First off, the service was great. Our waitress's name was Charity and she was very attentive. I got the schnitzel special with fries and it was very good. The fries were super hot. Wife got the cheeseburger and fries and she said it was very good. Friend got one of the fried fish plates with a house salad. She also enjoyed. Had a bottle of their dry Chardonel wines. It was also very good. Did a tasting of 4 wines. I'm a fan of dry red wines so had a tasting of their 4 dry reds. Ended up buying a bottle of their Victoria Vineyards red blend and a 2011 Norton. Both were pretty good Missouri wines. We really did enjoy our time there. This is the 2nd time we have eaten there and again, was not...

Terrible service, very slow, had to wait to get drinks, and over an hour for food, plus the people we had with us had to wait even longer for food. We had already gotten ours and 30 minutes later after we were finished, then Their food came out. Was ordered at same time as ours. No condiments brought with food, half of meal missing on one plate, and the worst part is that it was 25 minutes AFTER we watched a waitress/server eat HER FOOD at a table in dining room, THEN our food was brought out! Was a busy day, but your customers should have been taken care of first, properly, and the winery was aware there would he runs and lots of people there, and they were very unprepared and slow...
