This is a beautiful place with great forests and moss logs then the added historical value makes it even more worth it. My only negative would be that the day I went was after a rain and some of the trail had lots of tall grass. In sure it's just earily in the season. Other than that nice place. It does have a coverd 2 table picnic area

Great little sanctuary for a walk. We made a big loop from our B&B (Kendall Tavern Inn), through the sanctuary and back into Freeport through Bow St. In Foliage season this is an absolutely beautiful walk and everyone on the way was super friendly.

The location was easy to find and parking was plentiful when I went. The trails are not very wide, so it's not a great place to go as a large group. I loved how overgrown and wooded the trails in the woods were. The change of scenery was great as well. On top of wooded trails, there is also an orchard, a stream, an old mill site, and some open fields. The only downside was there were a lot of mosquitoes, so make sure you...

We took a two mile walk through the Audubon Sanctuary trails. Our walk followed a day of rain so there was some muddy spots. Some offered a boardwalk to cross so the trails were passable. It was a lovely walk through the pine forest. We were surprised that we didn't see any birds at all. All in all it was a very enjoyable walk. There are several trails to choose from offering varying distances from 0.4 miles up to...
