A cute drive if in the area. I wouldn’t come hours out of your way for anything in this area though. If you’ve been told about it, you’re likely in for a let down as honestly, it’s quite overhyped if you’ve been outside of major Midwest manufacturing towns/cities in your life. It’s not very narrow of a road, or tunneled. But it does seems marketed quite well.. Considering these attributes are easy to find in much of the US, in places that don’t pretend their overhead is that of CA/NY, yet charge equal prices to some of the most expensive places to own property/operate a business in the world.

I’d post a photo but we erased them all bc the surrounding areas/UP are more scenic and this looked like a nothing-burger in photos. Not to say it isn’t a decent drive, it is just...

Tunnel of trees,as the name suggests, it’s a road both side trees with various colors.. I’m basically from lake Orion,so going to so far , I’m not sure if it was worth it . But I’ll not forget the experience in the road, it was beautiful plus we took a break in middle in some small coffee shop, I suggest to pee and then enter the tunnel of trees cos very less opportunities for it .. there was a small market going on too ,with music.. u keep on going n you’ll not find anything than same trees.. ull find some of cars parked in side ,n you’ll stop there n take pictures opposite to Lake Michigan.. go to the stop with benches...🍂 good trip for fall season... but if u have better...

I drove for 3 1/2 hours to see the colors in the tunnel of trees are expected a much longer drive. if you time it too early like I did all it is is a tunnel of trees. The drive is very beautiful but because of the way Lake Michigan is you have to find those overlooks which doesn’t always mean there is an overlook there’s usually lots of foliage I’m new to Michigan, still looking for beautiful places to go. The main thing I accomplished was going to the top of the mitten. I got it out of my system now unlikely that I’ll go back for the tunnel of trees.

This was a fun thing to do on a beautiful summer day. Relaxing with beautiful scenery. We were lucky to find a local to tell us where there was a beautiful secluded beach in Good Hart and it was wonderful. The general store and tea shop/ gift shop in Good Hart were also a highlight. Lavender lemonade! Another must-see is Legs Inn in Cross Village. Sooo unique. And don’t miss the garden area with panoramic views of Lake Michigan and three lighthouses. We had an incredible day meandering along the tunnel of trees.
