Campus police are not student friendly, they profile, intimidate and harass students incidence on campus that could be rectified results in police misconduct falsifying reports students charged with bogus felononies escalating into the Maryland Court System and most of the school officials that are involved in the Student Management turn a blind eye and never interject on the students behalf not to mention the Student not only have to contend with the County but also student conduct charges to which they take the false reports at face value leaving the Student guilty til proven innocent. But in the meantime the Student has to contend with a record of felony charges and court proceedings. If my son didn't like the school in spite of what I mentioned in my post I would not recommend this HBCU at all they're student support organizations are headed by attention title getters who do not perform according to the responsibility and accountability of their titles and this surmise...

Read moreUMES is a beautiful diverse campus that has a lot to offer new and current students. Granted, UMES was not my first choice, but I do NOT regret coming here. One of my favorite attributes of UMES is the many clubs and organizations specifically Bible Study! I attend Bethel Campus Fellowship at UMES on Wednesdays at 7:30 at the SSC 2nd floor tundra. It is just a positive experience. All in all, this school is what you make it. You get what you put out. If you come here and do nonsense, you will get nonsense back.
