This covered bridge is definitely off the beaten path. The gravel road turns into a dirt road and it’s full of potholes, so definitely not really well maintained. But that’s what Jeeps are for right?! We got to see this bridge on an bright & beautiful day, but then it started raining right before we left! The water was perfectly mirroring the bridge, which definitely made for some amazing photographs! Our first Covered Bridge we came across in Maine. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the mood for an adventure and want to explore. Also beware of poison ivy all...

I was here to use the hand launch site to access Lovewell Pond. The bridge is attractive. The site could use some fill and light grading to address the large puddles/ mud holes. The ramp is a reasonable hand launch site for 2-3 boats. There's no toilet/ Porta potties so you can imagine what is lurking in the surrounding under brush. Of note the paddle out to Lovewell Pond isn't difficult. Out and back and a paddle of the perimeter will be 8 - 8.5 miles depending on how close to the...

The bridge is kind of cool. Interesting architecture. It is however really off the beaten path and there are no trespassing signs posted everywhere around it so literally you can pull off into a small spot to see it and that's it. I think this area could be improved alot to draw more people and have a reason to spend more time here. Worth a 10 minute stop if you are in the area, otherwise,...

For the age of the bridge, it is in excellent condition. People that are studying engineering, this would be a good site for them to see how it was done before modern construction.
