This was my first visit here and it is such a beautiful place! I didn't have enough time to really explore the entire preserve as I was there about an hour or so and couldn't stay any later. There are different trails and paths to explore, it may be better to go in the spring and summer months if you want to see pretty flowers and plants. I was there a few months ago and the scenery is beautiful with the fallen leaves. There were some rough spots going down some hills with leaves, rocks and tree limbs as the paths are not clear or paved, but that is part of the beautiful experience if you love the outdoors! Be careful, wear sturdy shoes and drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated!

Tried out for the first time today. Lots of signs for little offshoots of trails with flora to check out but ZERO signage for the trails posted at the trailhead. One sign even showed directions for trails/loops not marked on trailhead map. I saw a single blaze on a tree. Granted, I think it would be hard to get lost but you might end up out there longer than planned.

Beautiful hidden little gem. Nice natural trails. Will definitely be back!!! I love the wild flowers and the little signs they have around the plants and trees to identify them. Only issue was other people not keeping their dogs on a leash, keeping us from continuing on our walk comfortably.

I moved to linwood Apartments 15 years ago, shortly after my divorce. Growing up I always had to get away some how. A Christian family. Back in the day. My names Tyler. God made the earth. And when ever I felt I had enough as a kid and I just felt like dying, I would find myself in the woods where God made life. Like she holds you. The breakup. You can't cry in Hell. I moved here to get closer to God.

I should have gotten an apartment in Buford I guess. They say the Devils in the details.

I Love All Of You I hope you love her too. "For God so loved the earth, he gave his only begotten son" They say God cannot come to the earth for the evil upon it.

I cried myself to sleep :)

Please. Remove Linwood Apartments.

My names Ty...

Absolutely love this nature preserve. It's at the most convenient location, right close to downtown Gainesville. They're so many deer you can see on the trails at this preserve & it also actually has a trail called Lake Lanier Loop where you can actually walk down to the shoreline of the lake & if you wanted to, you could even jump in & take a quick swim. I highly recommend that if you haven't already visited this place you make it a point to plan a trip over there one sunny day. It doesn't take very long to walk the trails (even if you decide to take a walk on all 3 of...
