Where do I start.. my family and I have been through the most stressful nightmare with Melissa and Preston. A few days before my sisters wedding, 3 to be exact, problems began to arise.. Unfortunately, we find out that a storm is expected the day of the wedding, April 7th. Due to the fact that HRW is an outdoor venue, my sisters and I scrambled around to find a tent. We booked this venue over a year in advance, Melissa and Preston had agreed to accommodate us in the event of a storm, bad weather, etc.. Well at the very last minute, it was brought to our attention that in order to put the tent up we need to have the fire department come out to inspect and on top of that we need a permit.. Keep in mind I’m posting this April 4.. my sisters wedding is set to take place April 7.. How can we do this all in 3 days!? In addition, they want us to pay $1,200 to have someone come out and take down their lights to put a tent that we most likely won’t get a permit for in time? To top this off now they are telling us we cannot have light in our tent? So what are we suppose to do? Have my sisters wedding in the dark? I don’t wish this nightmare upon anyone 3 days before their once in a lifetime dream wedding day... My sister, her fiancé, and my entire family are distraught and Melissa and Preston have refused to do anything to accommodate us.. I will update this review come April 7th.. it’s not looking good. We are even considering booking a whole new venue.. 3 days prior to our wedding today.. can you imagine this insanity? Over $9,000 spent to book this place and for what... If Melissa and Preston continue to refuse to accommodate us we WILL seek...
Read moreWell, I don’t even know where to start. My wedding was on 8/31/19. First off, just want to let everyone know that Melissa was truly great during the whole process. Any calls, texts or emails were answered ASAP! Any doubts that the bride or myself had were always cleared up in a timely manner. At around 6pm when the sun started going down, I could not believe how incredible the venue looked. I was honestly speechless. Beautiful bride, beautiful location, I mean what more could I have asked for? The day was a little hot but the umbrellas that we rented definitely helped, once it started to get dark like I said previously, I mean it just looked like something out of a movie. All the months of stressing was worth it. We had around 250-300 guests and all we heard was that the venue and just that everything was great. If I had to do it all over again, i would do it the same way. I would get married there all over again. Whether it is a party, venue or event going with Hanford will not disappoint. Just because it feels and shows that melissa truly cares. Days before the wedding she would reach out to us to see how we were feeling. The day of she was at the party, serving wine and asking us every few hours and if we needed anything. I don’t know if this is a review at this point and or if I’m just venting about how happy or great the venue was lol I wish i could have given this a 6 star review lol Melissa, when you see this Ana and myself want to thank you for the bottom of our hearts for EVERYTHING!!!!

Read moreThis review is regarding my sisters wedding that is set to take place on April 7th. Just imagine spending thousands of dollars on your dream wedding just to find out 3 days prior that there will be a storm.. We understand that the venue owners cannot foresee such events, but being an outdoor venue they should have some sort of back up plan? Well they don’t. Either way my family and I acknowledge that it is our responsibility to deal with the unfortunate circumstances. Which is exactly what we are trying to do. Upon booking Hanford ranch winery venue Preston and Melissa told us that in the event of an upcoming storm or rain we were allowed to rent a tent. Not once did they mention any permit requirements. We have emails to prove that they gave us the okay to set up the tent. Now we are notified 3 days before the wedding that we need a permit from the county in order to set up the tent? And we need the fire dept. to come out and inspect. In 3 days? Talk about lack of professionalism and communication. They are also charging us over $1,000 to take down their lights.. We are taken back. We just want a peaceful day for my sister and her fiancé. Here we are.. 3 days before the wedding not even knowing what’s going to happen.. We are currently searching for other venues as a back up plan in the event that Melissa and Preston don’t come up with a solution.. Consider our experience before booking your wedding here. No one deserves this type of treatment,I will update my review post...
