Started going to this valensin vineyard winery about a year ago right after they opened June 2020, decided to become a member October 2021 was a frequent Customer and every time I came I always brought new people (black) with me who have never been to this winery, some would call me the valensin evangelist lol until May 10, 2022 prior to that date, my experiences at the winery were delightful and I enjoyed going. I frequent The winery about twice a month. as I stated previously a member. I received a phone call from one of the owners or the owner colleen ruffell, stating that she received several complaints from her staff and A food vendor, That I am very rude and have been very rude to them so Rude to the point , One of their vendors threatened not to come back to do business with them, if she kept me as A customer. listening to what Colleen is saying I’m in disbelieve And in shock, to be honest I felt disrespected! so I let her finish spilling her complaints out about my alleged behavior towards her staff and vendor. Intern I defended myself by letting her know, I have never been rude to any of her staff nor vendors as a matter of fact I’ve always patronize her vendors, tipped her staff cash or buy digital payment and brought people (black) in, who became members based on my opinion about the winery (Valensin) Ready to sign on as a member, without even once experiencing the establishment. I have brought so many people (black) into membership with this winery, 2 days before I received a phone call from Colleen which was Mother’s Day May 8, 2022 one of the managers Atalia Rewarded me with and wine glass, that you would normally have to pay for, because of all of the new members that I brought into membership with The winery , she stated that was the least she could do, to thank me,m. For my non-paid services. I believe The reasoning behind these false accusations was racially motivated. And if I continue to stay A member, I would bring more and more people of color. Now!! they did have blacks who frequent, but it was becoming a wildfire of people of color and as long as I stay A member I was bringing more, every time I frequent. You see this establishment has only been open since June 2020. I believe she was taken note of that and it made, I believe her uncomfortable so she needed a reason and wanted a reason and the false accusation allegedly me being rude to her staff and vendor was her reasoning but I’ve done research on Colleen, Black business is good just as long as it doesn’t make her Caucasian customers or her uncomfortable! And the blacks/ Hispanic were coming and out numbering The white to People of color Ratio! In just that little time the winery has been open. But it’s all good and the one thing I’ve learned in spending, money make the world go around and I can take my money, No! we can take our money elsewhere I will never go anywhere I’m...
Read moreIt was my first time coming to this winery. I’ve never heard of it until I was invited to their All White Party event.
The place is beautiful. I really love that the background from any where you sit is this beautiful lake view. I loved everything about the ambiance of this place.
The Event: It was fun. The live band, music after the band, dancing, and sipping on wine. Although we had a great time there are some improvements that can be made.
Recommendations: It was super hot, they could have made the covered patio area a lot bigger because there was plenty of room. The event could be at a later time when it’s a bit cooler.
The price: we basically paid for an entrance fee. It did not even include food or wine. We had to pay for food and drinks. They could have served us at least a glass of wine and small bites.
The food: it was food trucks which I did not expect. It was taco and BBQ. It was ok.
Parking: I wish I knew the parking situation. The parking is crazy. We had to walk far. Granted there was guys driving in golf carts (one passed us with no passengers and didn’t stop for us). They didn’t even have disabled parking spots available.
It was ok: the ladies at the entrance were nice. That’s about the only service we got. The umbrella where we sat kept falling and workers were no where to be found.
Overall experience: Mediocre. Hope future...
Read moreOMGoodness, we had the best time visiting Valensin Winery today!!! The David Perez Band was playing here today, and we wanted to check them out, and so best of both worlds, we also got to check out some new wines. They don't do tastings during events, so we arrived early so we could have the opportunity to try the wines and see which one we would want to sip on while we listened to the music. My husband ordered the "Today's Tasting", and I ordered the "Sparkling Tasting". Very nice wines! Then I decided to order a glass of their Chardonnay, and my husband got the Sirah. I really liked the Chardonnay so we bought a bottle to drink for the music. The whole Vinyard is just absolutely beautiful, the weather was perfect and we had such a wonderful time! There were only 2 people that I could see that were working, and there were so many people, but they held it down. It was just excellent! They were both so friendly and welcoming, and they were just awesome! The lady, Michelle, was just so sweet, I forgot to ask the gentleman's name, but he was so nice, and we really enjoyed them, and they put on a great event! We couldn't stop smiling! I'm looking forward to going back and bringing some friends and family. The water, the sunset, the music... what an awesome vibe! They have peddle boats and paddle boarding, too... we're gonna be prepared for that next time... I...
