The venue is lovely. However, I never received the contract and all our agreements were verbal, which are not held to. I toured the venue a year prior to my event, and again with Stefanie there 8 months prior with my husband and wedding planner. We paid for a ceremony, stay, 2 rvs, and 2 assistants. Stefanie did not meet us the day prior as discussed. Stefanie did not allow us access to decorations and tables the day before as discussed. The "assistants" only spoke Russian, and did not assist with anything other than setting up chairs and tables. Stefanie was rude and unhelpful until we had an arguement. She informed me the day before our event via phone that we wouldn't have access to set up the tables or chairs until the day of because the salt air would cause the legs to rust, which is crazy because even in the storage garage the salt air can still affect the metal. The mosquito system was not functioning due to no fluid being in it and they did not even turn it on the day of because the drink and food could be contaminated she said. We were not told this before even when asked about it in January. The communication was very lacking even though I would text my questions on a regular basis, she was slow to respond and often required a phone call or email which was also slow to respond. While the facility itself was clean and tidy, the lights had several bulbs missing or not working which I had to point out the day of while setting up the decorations since i didn't have access the day before as told I would. my day was stressful and less than happy. our event was scheduled to start at 6pm. We were told our reception could go until 11 pm, sadly this was not the case as we are informed the day before we only had until 10pm. The beach was lovely and private, The house was beautiful and just what we expected. The lady in charge and her assistants were less than helpful and I received many eye rolls when asking for items or help from the assistants. Stefanie was rude to me and my planner/ caterer on the phone, but had a different attitude when dealing with us in person after I yelled at her for her lack of professionalism and lack of communication on changes, not only ton the reception time end and access to decorations and mosquito system, but also on changes to the venue itself. I would recommend this venue based on the beauty of the home, the beach and the environment, but will urge you to press the issue of a CONTRACT AND...
Read moreOn 8/27/2022 I coordinated a wedding at this venue and will not be recommending it for anyone. The views are nice but it was a nightmare for my couple from the start. When they arrived at the property on Friday, because they were also staying on sight, the lawn was unmowed, the trees weren't trimmed. Lights and outlets didn't work. The owner, while helpful when he arrived, was also negligent. While removing the lights from the reception area that didn't work he almost hit me in the face with a strand of lights because he was just standing from the ground and ripping them from the posts and busting the bulbs all across the cement reception area where we were trying to get tables set up. The carts for the tables and chairs didn't roll because the wheels were all flat, so they had to be moved across the venue by hand by me and my couple. Why did we have to do this ourselves? Because the venue owner hires out a company to be on site the day of the wedding but they do not arrive until 3 hours before the ceremony, which in my years of experience is not nearly enough time to get properly set up and dressed before the ceremony. It is not set up properly for catering or bartending. The bar area is just a corner with a counter but no place to keep ice or ice down beers. Food tables just have to be set up wherever, because again there is no prep kitchen or access to water save a few outdoor spigot for a water hose. The ceremony site had to have chairs offset because of the large ant piles that had never been addresses, and we had to provide our own tiki torches to keep the mosquitoes off the guests. And even with the citronella torches and constant use of OFF the guests were all left with innumerable bug bites att the end...
Read moreTo say that Beauty and the Beach is the perfect wedding venue wouldn’t even begin to scratch the surface of how truly amazing this venue and the owners Ken and Anne are. From the moment you drive onto the property you are greeted by the most gorgeous view of the gulf. There is plenty of parking for all of your guests day of. The gorgeous bridal suite and a cute groomsmen area Are perfect for the day of. There is an area for a bartender and plenty of space for the reception under the venue. Everything is decorated incredibly tastefully and all of my guests kept commenting how much they loved it because it was decorated for a wedding and not at all tacky. They set out a sign the day before the saying there was a wedding on Saturday and it kept people at bay. Also being close to rollover pass there isn’t much traffic at that end. There is an area where the caterers can set up out of the way and a good location for the DJ to be close to the dance floor without being on It. Ken and Anne are the two most kind hearted people you could ever have the pleasure of meeting much less have own your wedding venue. Any questions I had they responded timely with an answer. They let us do the rehearsal there at a time that fit us and come set up in the morning. They were both there to help with anything we needed. The day of my wedding went seamlessly because of them. They made us feel like family that day and I can never tell them thank you enough. I could have never dreamed of a more perfect day. Please consider this place when booking your wedding. Just taking a tour will be enough to make you want to book Beauty...
