Hutchins Lake — Attraction in Ganges Township

Beautiful clear lake. Developed on most sides, although the West side is mostly undeveloped. A rather shallow lake, averaging 4-8 feet deep. Although it does have a deeper area where it reaches over 30 feet. Great bass and pike fishing lake, also decent pan fish. Does get a little busy with recreational boaters in the summer months. Public boat launch on the North side. If your out boating and like speed, be aware there is a very shallow Sand bar on the south east side...

Love to fish this lake, it was my favorite in the years past but the bass fishing has tumbled a bit in recent years. Lots of rec traffic during the day, so fish early or late. A lot of panfish boaters. Have to park on the side of the road and no toilet...

Hate this lake. No fish worth fishing for. And people are rude and don't understand the concept of personal space. Boat launch has zero parking so get in...
