♿️ There is no trail or pathway, it's more of a dirt loop around the soccer fields. I believe 3 loops make a mile, but it could be 4. I have 3 step counters and they all give me close, but different results I have fitbit, but no wearable and that's why I think it's off slightly. As I mentioned there are the soccer fields, a concessions stand, the restrooms are in this building. They are accessible. If you drive down Jew Hollow Rd. that is the first access to a large gravel parking lot. There is a splash pad only open to Gardendale residents. There is a pavilion that can be rented for bday parties. If you continue forward on Jew Hollow, you will find the dog park. No shade here, just a large fenced in area with lots to do for your pup. Make sure you do clean up the waste please. There is Frisbee golf and they have tournaments here all the time. This is the second turn directly off Fieldstown Road. You will also find the Scout Hut and some projects they have completed around this building. The storage for the Parks and Recreation is right behind this building. If you continue past these parking areas to the back, you will find another parking area and the beginning of one of the GUTS (Gardendale Urban Trail System) trails. It is fairly steep, but very shaded. The map is hard to read (for me) and it is definitely not for those with mobility issues. Since then, I have found others. I will come back to the steep one. I am determined to at least try. There is a bicycle pump, a pavilion, and a picnic table here. I watched a gentleman using his very fast remote control cars here. It's a really nice park. I pass it every day and used to walk here bc of...
Read moreThe park is good. However, the Splash Pad is almost always overcrowded and there is literally no place to sit or put your things. I had my son's birthday party here for a couple of years in a row and the pavillion that I rented was overtaken by people that weren't part of the party. Also, during my renting time, people that we didn't know would come sit under the pavillion and put their things right by my son's birthday cake, gifts, etc. I would think there is a better way to go about renting the pavillions or have someone there to make sure the public knows that they should not be under the pavillion while it is rented. Also, the bathrooms are always extremely disgusting. Not once have I been and the restroom was in even...
Read moreWe love this place. It's a very nice park to bring all ages of kids. They also have a splash pad in the summer, one for older kids and one for very small toddlers who are scared to go to the big one. They have like 3 or 4 swings you can sit on to watch your kids play and they also have pavilions. The playground is also adult friendly incase you wanna get up there and play with...
