day16 (05AUG2024) sanctuary 30: strange to hear a loon calling from the nearby lake when walking the moosewood loop in shady cool spruce/fir woodland. in contrast, the meadow loop is sunny and warm (it was 90F and humid today). trails are well marked, with signs at trail intersections and frequent blue/yellow discs indicating trail leads away/toward parking.

Found this little place tucked away on the way back to Boston from Vermont. Lovely and quiet with short hikes, though was a shame you couldn't get to the nearby lake on the trail.

Nice easy hike with lots of options on the distance you travel. Meadow paths and woods paths make for beautiful scenery. The grounds are clean and well maintained.

NIce field for watching tree swallows. The paths are well marked . Check out the huge beaver lodge. I even heard some loon calls from nearby Lake Wampanoag.

Small parking lot. Some nice trails that are well marked. Got to see a few different birds that I wasn't familiar with I believe they were pine wablers.

Nice little hike. Trails are marked well. Under two miles. Pretty flat. Great for small kids and older adults.
