We stopped by the Shop the beginning of May, 23. Tom had to run home for something and left a note. So we went right down the street to the two jail cell house first. The when we saw his car was back, we went back over. Tom was a wealth of information for traveling Rt 66. He spent quite a bit of time talking to us about the highway, the Gardner of yesterday, and his grandfathers lumber yard. It was an interesting visit. Inside it's like a memorabilia of the route 66.
Plus it's a pleasure to talk with Tom, he know so many things of the Route (not only in Illinois but the whole journey) that you could hear him talking for hours.
