Theatre at the Mount — Attraction in Gardner

I like the fact that they offer special- sensory friendly performances for some of the shows. I have brought my special needs son to these performances and everyone has been wonderful. I really appreciate that they do this, my son likes the plays especially musicals but can have trouble staying seated for long periods of time, so the fact that they offer an area where I can bring him to give him a break is great . The plays and musicals they put on are top notch , You can tell there are a lot of talented people who are extremely good at their jobs. Been going to plays here for about 8 years & each show has been fantastic but the sound quality? Half of the time the actor's mics don't work. Everything sounds muffled, like it's coming from another room, or like all of the speakers have been stuffed with pillows. The high end/treble is non-existent. It's so frustrating to sit through a 3 hour play when you can hear the actor's footsteps across the stage over their voice AND the music. They have quality equipment but the guy running the sound board either needs some serious help or to let someone...

You'll be pleasantly surprised by the local talent evident at any Theatre at the Mount's show. Seasons passes are available and very reasonably priced, even though the venue was updated a few years ago. I'll always have precious memories of attending exciting shows with my mother and sister over the years. There are fun children's shows as well.
