We really enjoyed this trail because it quickly became devoid of road noise and after crossing the stream (about 1 1/4 miles from the trailhead) it was evident that many folks used the stream as their turn-around point. Very quiet trail and in 2.5 hours saw no other hikers. There are many areas where the bird song is loud and varied. Spotted many birds that we had never seen before and were able to hard-id them using our merlin-app. From the trailhead, it is all uphill for quite a while... making the return somewhat easier.

Dec 17 th, overcast 65⁰. Parked at the quiet walk area- trail is across the street. 1.8 mile relentless uphill. Some just ok mountain views otherwise just trees and a path. Out and back 4.7 miles Would make a good one way trail with the Sugerland or Little River trails.

Pretty good hike. The hike starts with a little log bridge across a river. After this you will just go along a wide flat trail with a decent view covered by trees. It’s a 3.9 mile trail their and back but we had to come back early because of many fallen trees. There are also side hikes along this hike that come with...

Great trail if you want to be immersed in wilderness. Some portions are narrow and a little spooky because there is not a lot of foot traffic. There are 3 great view points. The trail is not exactly difficult but the incline was enough to elevate my heartrate! Would be gorgeous...
