Would 100% rent from Rocky Top again!! The Polaris was in fantastic shape, customer service was A+ and we had the best trip we have EVER had to the mountains! We’re from south GA almost FL, so FLAT LAND lol. So when I tell you that mountain roads normally scare the daylights out of me I’m not exaggerating at all. To the point I have to do deep investigation even to rent a cabin in the mountains because I have been scarred from past Experiences. We always drive in from Cherokee on 441 Which I found was not as scary as I thought but I still never relax enough to truly enjoy it. We took the Ranger Up to Clingmans dome, we did the roaring fork motor nature trail(highly recommended on a UTV), And then drove to Elkmont and back. When I tell you, I would have never enjoyed Any of those in our vehicle I’m not exaggerating lol. I had the absolute best time. We have a Ranger at home so I’m used to riding one But driving them on the paved mountain roads Was so much fun. It felt much easier than being in our truck. That may not make sense but being able to see clearly in front of you and see where your tire placement was just made it feel safer to me. We will 100% do this again every time from here after. So I guess you find yourself being scared of the mountain roads do not hesitate to rent one of these UTV’s from RTAR and truly enjoy the ride. It’s worth it I promise!

We rented a UTV from Rocky Top during our vacation. We rented on a Wednesday and were booked to take off on Thursday. Due to snow, most of the roads in the park were closed. We rent specifically to go up the mountain to newfound gap, cades cove etc. I called and asked to move our reservation to the next day and they were happy to do so. For 6 days straight, the roads were closed in the park. I called each day and moved the reservation with hopes the roads would soon open. The staff happily moved my reservation each day so we could go into the park when the roads opened. We finally were able to go when the roads opened. The unit we rented was clean and ready to go upon arrival. We rented a 6 seater due to our large family. It was extremely nice with an enclosed cab, heat, Bluetooth and leather seats. Very few places rent 6 seaters and even fewer have them with enclosed cabs this nice. We had a fantastic time. The price was also less than anyone else we called for a 6 seater. Less than 400 for the whole day! They have the nicest units, more to choose from and a very nice staff and facility. We are extremely satisfied with Rocky Top and will definitely be renting from them each year we come up to the Smokey’s.

5 stars because my kids absolutely loved it. I deducted a star because I tried calling to ask some questions, but was immediately placed on hold and left on hold for 45 minutes. I gave up and just booked a rental. While I was in the store I saw multiple reps do the exact same thing of answer a call put them on hold and never go back to the person on the phone. The question I was going to ask was about car seats in UTV's, and the UTV we rented (Honda Talon 4 seat) has no chance of fitting a standard car seat only booster seats. The ride would have been much more enjoyable if my children were in their actual car seats rather than a booster seat that they barely meet the minimum requirements for. I wouldn't deduct a star for this but the Honda Talon is not the type of UTV you can have a conversation in. As a car person I didn't mind it but my wife did not care for the incredible loud and harsh shifts. We both commented that our ears were ringing after the 5-hour rental. I also found it strange that they give you a list of instructions that you have to follow with the UTV including the 35 mph speed limit, But then give you directions on how to get to places that require you to drive on 45 mph roads.

I’ve never been one to leave a review (positive or negative) but after my experience today I felt compelled to. First the good! Awesome owner and staff! Brand new and clean vehicle!! Now for the bad. We had nothing but issues with our Cam-Am Maverick 4 Seater. You should never rent a road only vehicle with off road only tires. I noticed that every other vehicle in your lot had road tires on it so I’m assuming this isn’t a common complaint for you. Given our vehicle had less than 2,000 miles on her, I’m assuming you were simply trying to save a few bucks and use the original tires first before you had to pay to replace them. The issue is that these tires alone made our 10 hour rental day miserable. Anything under 15mph and we felt that our fillings were going to rattle out of our teeth, and anything over that, the road noise was so bad that we couldn’t hear a single thing!?!? I can’t begin to exaggerate just how loud it was. I actually dropped my wife and kids off 2 hours into the day because they didn’t want to deal with it any more. My other big issue was that the vehicle’s speed limit was governed to 45mph!?!? What attracted me to renting from you is the performance level of you vehicles. Why in the world would you bother to purchase vehicles with turbocharged engines if you are going to limit them so much? From 0-45 there is no performance difference between your turbo units and a much less expensive base unit? Why pay for the premium motor and all the additional maintenance associated with them?? I don’t want to go on too much of a “bitch fest” but the bottom line is that I was incredibly disappointed in my experience. The vehicle ran horribly and made all kinds of “belt slip” noises and I wanted you to know about these. I left you three stars simply because you had so darn many good reviews before me. From reading these, it appears that you do a great job with your customers and I didn’t want to completely bash you because of one bad experience. I know my vehicle only had 2,000 miles on her but she needs some serious maintenance and a good set of road...
