We visited the GI Museum on New Years day 2025. This is one of the best WWII and military history museums that I've ever visited. Especially since this is private collection of artifacts and not supported by any government funding. I enjoyed it every bit as much as I did the WWII Museum in New We arrived at 10AM and were greeted by Doug Mansfield who is the CEO and curator of the museum. We had a great time looking at the displays and talking with Doug about the collection and hearing the stories of the WWII veterans behind the memorabilia, who Doug had met and interviewed. One especially moving piece of memorabilia was the jacket worn by George Gay, the lone survivor of a torpedo bomber squadron attacking Japanese aircraft carriers at the Battle of Midway, which turned the tide of the war in the Pacific.
We had such an enjoyable time that we stayed for over three hours. I highly recommend you visit to learn about our national history and the sacrifices our military personnel made...
Read moreI’ve been to many military history museums and this one was by far the best ones I’ve ever been to. It doesn’t have all the bell and whistles and super nice glass displays, but what it does have is thousands of WW2 artifacts with some of them being super rare! Don’t let the metal building fool you, you can spend hours in this place with Mr. Doug who knows everything! There is free admission but they do accept donations which I highly recommend because there is no other place like this. I highly recommend this museum and will definitely be going back to hear more stories...

Easily can spend a couple of hours looking at everything. I spent about 1/2 hour (wife was waiting in the car), but felt like I got a good understanding of what was being portrayed. Well worth the time. Call to check the hours that it's open, only open on limited days. Keep up the good work! Don't forget to donate some money, because this is being run by one guy (and...
