What a scenic location!
The sign describes the historical beginnings of the apple orchard agricultural gold rush in the area. As someone that has had an absolute love of apples since early childhood, this is right up my alley. I have eaten an apple, applesauce, or other apple product nearly every day of my life for almost fifty years, and have sampled an incredibly extensive variety of apples in that time (well over 100 different types, easily).
The location features a remarkably picturesque panoramic view of the valley below, and a phenomenal natural rock wall along the roadway.
Even if you're not into apples (which is crazy, you should probably seek professional help, lol), this spot is still well worth visiting for the scenery. Be sure to check out some of the amazing orchards...
