We were on a trip to see a bunch of giant things and this was on the list. We had to drive over an hour out of our way to add it in, but it seemed so cool! Imagine our disappointment when we finally arrive, and then discover that the building is locked and has no access. There's a billboard with articles, poems & photographs, but even those photos don't show the inside of it. The poems were funny to read, and it was interesting to see the history behind the outhouse. However, it was the only stop we made on our trip that was a total disappointment. Without being able to enter (or at least LOOK inside) there really wasn't a point to go see it.

There is a fascinating history behind this structure and how it was once attached to a hotel. I am a bit puzzled as to why people think you should be able to use it and why it's locked. It is an attraction not a rest stop. Read the board a get a load of its history. It is well kept and a great novelty. Many years ago Spencer Gifts sold a poster that had teachers on the top and students on the bottom. If you are driving through I highly recommend it.

Interesting little historical building. Nice little park with historical articles and information. Interesting odd building with a functional past. There isn't anything else at the park but it is just a little bit off the interstate so can be worth the time to go see it, plus it is an unusual and unique sight and something that you just don't think would have existed.

This is a unique lil spot right off Hwy 16. It has been preserved as a historical marker so it is locked but there is information and pictures of why and how on site. There's also an annual festival (2023 is the 3rd year) with a classic car show, street vendors both food and shopping, bands & live entertainment as well. It usually takes place in early to mid August and they do unlock it...
