We were on a trip to see a bunch of giant things and this was on the list. We had to drive over an hour out of our way to add it in, but it seemed so cool! Imagine our disappointment when we finally arrive, and then discover that the building is locked and has no access. There's a billboard with articles, poems & photographs, but even those photos don't show the inside of it. The poems were funny to read, and it was interesting to see the history behind the outhouse. However, it was the only stop we made on our trip that was a total disappointment. Without being able to enter (or at least LOOK inside) there really wasn't a point...

Read moreThis is a unique lil spot right off Hwy 16. It has been preserved as a historical marker so it is locked but there is information and pictures of why and how on site. There's also an annual festival (2023 is the 3rd year) with a classic car show, street vendors both food and shopping, bands & live entertainment as well.
