Very cool place to visit. N the middle of nowhere i literally spent 3 or 4 hours looking at all the pics of all the old famous country stars and western stars and movie stars and just old western memorabilia it was pretty amazing to see. Loved all the letters and stories of those who have donated and how they acquired such things. Just amazing. And the smell of the old building was very distinctive. Brought me back to my childhood school. It was one building housing kindergarten through 12 grade. Maybe 140 students in the whole school. So average of ten students per grade. The town was durant Mississippi. It was a town w a population of 400 back n the 80s. Now I think it's population is 700. As of 2021. Brings back allot of memories this museum and its artifacts. So glad I got to...
Read moreFabulous! Visited on Saturday, 3/14/2020! Very fascinating. Staff member, W. M., is very knowledgeable and professional, yet his down-to-earth manner made the visit a wonderful experience. I arrived about 3:30 and the museum closes at 4. ( next time I’ll go there much earlier). He didn’t rush me for time as he showed the various exhibits. I want to go back and spend more time and let him share his knowledge of the exhibits Gene Autry, Roy Rogers and Dale, and other cowboys. This museum is one of the best! Admission is by donation and it’s worth donating a normal admission price to keep this awesome place open for...

While you're there, ask if they have any sarsaparilla in the snack area....
