I took my 2 1/2 year old daughter on Sunday July of 2023. I bought my tickets for the train and village the morning of for the 1:00pm train. After a very easy drive from two counties over with easy parking and beautiful weather we arrived. The park was nearly empty. We were greeted by a wonderful young woman who found my reservation with no issue. When I mentioned my daughters love for trains, the woman behind the counter leaned forward and expressed her joy of seeing my daughter happy to be there. It was a very welcoming. As soon as we reached the platform another employee with a huge smile on his face gifted my daughter the last caboose pass. Again, the delight on my daughters face and the joy shared between my family and the employee clipping our train tickets was so positive, it made the experience almost magical, especially for my daughter. We got to our caboose to board and had another eager employee named Conductor Walt, who elevated our train experience to the next level. He offered to take our families picture, offered us special 2nd floor seats to enjoy the views, and multiple fun facts, tidbits, and stories the enlighten the entire 40 min train ride. After the train ride, we went up to the engine and were greeted by a series of conductors who again were more than happy to take our picture as a family by the locomotive.

Everything was well maintained, and well worth the value. The tickets for the rides were more than affordable, and the rides were easy to access, fun to enjoy, and fast! My daughter did get overwhelmed on every single one of them, (they are all very fast) but as soon as we exited, she happily ran to the next ride eager and excited to go again!

I haven’t been to Crossroads since I was a kid myself, and I do remember it always being incredibly busy. It was unfortunately, a ghost town. Which is a HUGE SHAME if its always like this! Everything was open and running, the staff was incredible, and I really hope the lack of people was a Sunday fluke. They even had magicians on every corner with free balloons for the kids this particular day. You just can’t beat the value of this place. My daughter was exhausted by the time the 4 hours was up, and we left happy with wonderful memories and photos. We will happily support the conservation of this hidden gem and will be back before this...

Visited your quaint little village today. Loved walking in right on Main Street. All the gardens are beautiful. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the workers in the buildings were not very interested in talking to the guests... We were lucky to get a quick hello. One home, the 2 workers came in and apologized for not being in the building because they were visiting their neighbors in another building. In the broom shop, there were 3 ladies who were more interested in talking amongst themselves. No history was given from any of the workers besides the gentleman who was working in the Drs Office. I did not get his name, but he was wonderful. Explained the history of the building and went over all the historical items in the building. Even walked out to the herb garden with us and discussed all the herbs. You honestly need more workers like this wonderful gentleman. Was disappointed that there were no animals or working farm. To see all the buggies and farm equipment rotting away in the barn was heart breaking. Even if you are not going to use the items, maintaining them would be nice to see. Buildings need a lot of attention. Some need some repair work and others need some heavy cleaning and need to be staged with historical content (ie, town hall). I believe the village has a ton of potential to be even better than what it is. Will I come back for another visit, yes. Would I recommend others to visit the...

Great place to take the kids and the whole family. We went close to Halloween this year and they really take the time to get the village all decorated. Kids enjoy doing the trick or treating around the village, going into and out of all the old houses and buildings. The train ride is always fun, it's not too short of a ride and not too long of a ride, cool old train. There is also a comedy show at the old theater. There are a couple shops located within the village and a small diner. Parking has never been a problem there, plenty. There is a big carousel toward the back the kids enjoy as well as a ferris wheel. If you're looking for a place to take the family where you can walk around for a few hours and not get bored then I would recommend this place. They also have a christmas event where the decorate the whole village like a winter wonder land, also a great tile to take the kids there. Located around Flint it is a little bit of a drive for me at an hour and a half but certainly worth the drive and the price of admission. We have been 2 years now and want to make going here a tradition we can keep up for both of our young children. All staff members are all dressed up to match the theme of the village and are all very polite, courteous, and all generally seem like they really enjoy their jobs and...
