Tips Park — Attraction in George West

A really cool park that it seems has been neglected .. you can tell that it was really something " back in the day " .. trails throughout the 31 acres go under the highway to what appears to have been a bird watching area. The waterfall on the Frio River is man made but still very cool. slightly run down but probably one of my favorite paid places I've been to in a long time... and for some reason NO ONE is here at all ? Near a highway but peaceful and full hookups.. basketball, swings, pavilion with electric, fishing areas, trails, showers, bathrooms .. an over all terrific place. Love the scenery! Beautiful trees ! I stayed there for r months. Running water & electric power hook ups. The bathrooms & shower could use some TLC, but the hot water was always running, awesome.
