Knowledgeable staff, willing to spend lots of time answering our kids' questions. Very interesting silicious limestone cave. No standard cave formations on the regular tour (no stalactites, etc because of the lower calcite content of the upper level limestone/sandstone), but still geologically quite interesting. Various different tidbits (lighting, etc) make for an informative and enjoyable experience. Nice little mini-museum and gift shop with good prices for mineral samples.

Read moreAlyssa is an excellent, well knowledgeable tour guide. I believe additional public speaking will enhance her personal confidence in relaying answers to questions asked by guests. She was quite considerate of my elderly mother who became terrified once she entered the first part of the cavern. She personally directed her, with her walker, to another employee further up the ramp to assure her safety. Safety is a top priority on the tour as you are warned in advance of your confined space, darkness, slopes, and height. There is also a 3-4 hour spelunking tour which you go down into the lower caverns. Boots which cover the ankle, long pants, and long sleeves are required.
