CHANGE::::: I was told that the boat launch now closes at night.

Every summer, for the last 20 years, I've fished this spot overnight. Ottawa Co Sheriff typically checks on things and splits.... HOWEVER, I'm told they are closing the entire park, including boat launch. I would bet the new residential mansions are already complaining about late visitiors... the houses are gorgeous, but why there? Maybe they should be patrolling the regular neighborhoods to catch the 4am car thiefs that frequent the area... Enjoy your regular traffic 24/7 😉 =)

NEW - Paved Trails are open! Restrooms open for season Lots of scenic trails through the woods Leashed 10 ft max. No Alcohol Boat Launch Not staffed, but the Ottawa Co Sheriff and DNR regularly partol No boat launch fees! No permit or fees are required for visiting.

  • 2x Restrooms - 1 is located in pavilion building, and this year, they have placed a handicap accessible porta-potty by the boat launch! *

  • Beware of poison ivy off the trails. Especially when close to river. *

This park has the feel of 2 parks - pavilion & boat launch.

Pavilion offers: restrooms (open April 15), scenic lookout, trailhead, small playground, and fenced walk out fishing dock. I believe you can reserve the small indoor space by contacting Ottawa County Parks.

Boat launch into Grand River is a concrete pad, no fees to launch. Easy shore fishing (lots of snags), handicapped accessible kayak launch, access to Riverside trail in the woods. Lots of bass, catfish, gills. Use common worms, hot n tots, poopy brown lures, jigs with...

An amazing park, has paved trails, it is very large you can even cross country ski here in the winter. It has a huge beautiful opening, that is full of wild flowers and grasses that is as tall as a person in the summer, a great place to walk the dogs, or go fishing in the pond. It has a small building you can rent out/reserve for events. It has an outlook to overlook a watershed area, you can spot a lot of birds you font see in the neighborhood. In all a very nice park secluded away off the main road, so it's a little hard to find, but it's well worth the hike. Also there is a boat lunch here into the...

I give it a 2 because the name is misleading. I did not see a park at all at least not where Google maps led me. To the right as you enter is the lansing boat club and to the right a parking lot and boat launch for the Grand River that is well maintained. If boating this is a great location. I may have seen a fishing pier of sorts to the left of the launch too though I didnt investigate. The parkway just leads to storage buildings for the MSU Rowing Club. I did not see any "park" or trails or anything at least not labeled. Great if...

Love this trail so much for walks with my cats, all the trails are maintained really well, unfortunately a large section [connects about a 4th to a 5th of the trail that connects 2 paths to the main loop] is currently under construction but aside from that its not too busy of a park and i can wander through the trails for about an hour to an hour and a half without hardly any issues with bugs or a lot of people. It appears quite a few people also seem to fish here as well but thats all i can speak towards on that matter.
