Jenison Center for the Arts — Attraction in Georgetown Charter Township

Have been to this venue before and normally would rate at 5 stars. However, we were there for a ballet performance in the Black Box theater and their air conditioning went out. There were performances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and they didn't get someone in there to repair the air with temperatures outside in the high 80's. It easily had to be in the mid 90's in the theater making it very uncomfortable sitting so close to each other..., and those poor dancers looked like they had just gotten out of a shower as they were performing. Luckily no one passed out from heat exhaustion. I think it was very unprofessional as well as dangerous to not get the air repaired for these very physical performances. The dancers did put on an incredible performance under very difficult circumstances; that is the only reason I'm giving 3 stars...

Beautiful areana for watching performances. The bathroom was the disappointment. Went into a stall the week before at an orchestra concert and no toilet paper. The following week was a band concert and remembered my experience so I checked the toilet paper this time before sitting down. 3...THREE stalls checked (No paper again in any of them) but on the 4th, I did find that stall had paper. They need to maintain the restroom better especially when they KNOW they are having performances. Otherwise this place is gorgeous and everything else looks...

This beautiful music center is a gem and one of several incredible facilities of Jenison public schools. Incredible acoustic quality and absolutely stunning interior design, on par or better than some popular theaters and concert halls. Jenison bands and orchestra are so lucky to perform at this stage but we also need more professional guest bands and shows here for community enjoyment. I was so happy to see Swan Lake by the European Royal Classical Ballet here yesterday and would love to see more...
