The ocean and rocks were pretty, but the sand is covered in nasty piles of rotting seaweed, which attracts lots of species of biting flies. I couldn’t even lay down to relax because I would immediately get swarmed and bitten by what seemed to be a combination of stable flies and greenheads. The sand going into the water is quite steep and the waves are really strong. They should really clean up the giant piles of seaweed, that might at least help…Not...

Nice enough beach. Just don’t forget water shoes as the sand isn’t fine and is very rough on your feet especially on a hot day. View was a beautiful until the fog rolled in after a couple hours. I don’t know how frequently that happens or if we just got unlucky. Parking was easy and facilities were about the level as one expects at a state park—-good to get the job done, but you’ll be happy...
