When I think of an actual park, not a hiking trail/trailhead, but a park to just exist outside for awhile, this is the closest I’ve found around the east Cobb / Roswell area. Sometimes ya want the healing aspect and slower pace and need peace - not necessarily exercise go go go like our society already demands. However there is a small nature trail and it’s lovely. This park fits the bill for chill time and leisurely meandering. Spacious. Perfect picnic energy. It has plenty of green open grass space, two large parking lots, multiple playgrounds, restrooms, grills, ample picnic tables - some with cover, broad gravel walking path that loops around the perimeter of the entire park with benches sprinkled every 40 ft or so. I’ve been searching for a spot like this for a minute, to read or write or journal or just sit with myself. I drive by it all the time and never just stopped to check it out, and i am grateful that I did. 4pm on a Tuesday and all I hear is the wind blowing through the fire orange leaves and the occasional sound of footsteps walking by as I sit on a bench by the path. I’ve seen it super busy on the weekends, rightfully so. However, I avoid large crowds and peak times anywhere, so 4pm on Tuesday is *chefs kiss* YUP. 10 outta 10 recommend. Pure peace here, what we could all use a little more of 💛♾️

Ode to East Cobb Park In East Cobb’s heart where children play, A park awaits to brighten day. With winding trails and open skies, And trees that stretch and greet with sighs. The creek may swell with gentle rain, Yet never floods, nor leaves a stain. For after storms have had their say, The groundskeepers sweep gloom away. With rakes in hand and cheerful stride, They tame the wild, restore our pride. No twig too small, no mud too wide— They keep our paths both clear and wide. Their work, a quiet, noble feat, To make our strolls so clean and sweet. The swings still squeak with youthful glee, The benches dry, the fields debris-free. So here’s to those who trim and tend, Whose care and effort never end. East Cobb Park, a local gem, Is shining bright—because of them!

4/11/2023 Updates... Added some pix I took today....Hope you enjoy them... A very nice place to walk, jog, stroll, and spend leisure time with family, friends, and pets. Very friendly people. There are always some activities. Has a small creek running thru this which adds beauty to the nice tree line and flower bushes it has. Lots of metal benches (donated by various good hearted people) to sit and relax throughout the park. Very dog friendly. Free parking. Free entrance. Clean rest rooms on premises. The park staff who keep it clean and functional deserve lots of appreciation. A MUST PLACE TO GO.

Just relocated here from the mid west (St. Louis, Missouri) and was looking for a really nice dog friendly park with lots of walking trails. This has the potential to be a good park. There is ample parking, lots of walking trails, lots of shady areas, covered picnic tables and benches, adequate number of restrooms, several enclosed play areas for children, and it is dog friendly. In fact, there were lots of families there on Easter Sunday barbecuing, cooking, walking the trails, and enjoying the park amenities. Unfortunately, it appears that Cobb County Parks and Recreation does not place a lot of emphasis on maintenance of this park. All of the park benches were dusty and dirty. The women's restroom was absolutely filthy with toilet paper thrown all over the place. In addition, it did not appear that there was any concern for cleaning up/removing the unsightly weeds along the trails or the leaves in the garden beds. I was really very disappointed because it really does have the potential to be a very nice park. Hopefully, as the spring/summer progresses, Cobb county will devote a little more time and effort into cleaning and...

Great place to walk around with your kids and/or dogs. Great birthday party spot(with grills I believe), a stage for live music, great trails, and two amazing playgrounds. They even have swings where the baby swing is connected to an adult swing so you can swing with your baby. Super awesome. Only downside is that it gets crowded on weekends and holidays. It does have a small park next to the parking lot that's great for children with autism(if it's empty), small birthday parties(if you get there at a good time) it's very private.

Side note: There are two Pokémon gyms, one at the main park sign near the parking lot entrance and one next to the stage. Also a lot of Pokéstops near the parking lot, big playground, stage, and along the trail. There's a couple more scattered around. People also tend to put lure modules on them alot.

Side Note's side note: Since it's a Pokémon Go hotspot, watch out for people walking around aimlessly like zombies looking at their phones. They might not see you coming.

One of my favorite parks for my children. It's normally clean because it's East Cobb...
