Very nice spot and interesting to see the only remaining all wood covered bridge in GA. It is a tight fit through the bridge but was really cool to see. There is a very small parking area and a trail leading to beneath the bridge where the rocks make it easy to cross and play in the water. We didn’t see it at night but the locals added Christmas lights which I found just adorable! Wish we could have returned to...

Nice photo opportunities, with nice parking. The road narrows on the pavement side of the bridge without room to negotiate oncoming traffic, height restrictions in place at 10'

The Elder Mill Covered Bridge is one of thirteen functioning covered bridges in Georgia. The bridge was built in 1897 to span Calls Creek on Watkinsville-Athens Road. In 1924 the bridge was moved to its current location...

Certainly a worthwhile side trip if you are going down GA 15 between Watkinsville and Greensboro. Beautifully built and maintained this covered bridge is located in a quiet/serine creek setting. The bridge, built in 1897, is an all wooden bridge except for the roof which is sheet metal. The 99 foot long bridge is a marvel of engineering using cross-cross construction and pegs/dowels...
