This review is solely focused on the condition of the ball fields and the staff operating them. The fields are in serious need of maintenance and updates. Older players should not be pitching off a cracked, hollow plastic mound—it’s unsafe and not up to standard. Additionally, the bases are not properly secured and often come loose when players slide, which presents a safety concern. The backstop is positioned unusually far from home plate, which affects the flow of the game.
Given that Parkview has hosted at least two tournaments in recent weeks, it’s evident the facility is generating revenue. We hope some of that can be reinvested into improving the playing conditions—especially the mound and base setup.
There were also concerns regarding the officiating during the 42 Classic tournament. Several calls appeared to heavily favor the Parkview home team, and there was a clear lack of consistency in the strike zone. The umpire wearing the PG hat in particular struggled with rule knowledge and consistency.
While the park itself is nice overall, it's time Parkview invested in its fields and addressed these recurring issues. It would go a long way in improving the experience for both players...
Read moreWe visited this park for the first time a few days ago and had a great time! Partly, because of who we were with and unfortunately for others they are not permanent fixtures of the park.
However, the playground is great! Big enough for running and climbing and jumping and yelling and laughing and chasing and having an all around wonderful time.
There is a great pony wall to help with teaching boundaries and makes a great spot to sit and watch your kids play. They have a taller section for the older or more adventurous and a smaller section for the starters and the more risk adverse.
It is clean and spacious. The playground is close to the pavilion to break for snacks or lunch and the restroom is not too much of a distance either for when they just can't hold it any longer and will have to accept that they just MIGHT miss something.
We will definitely...
Read moreLove this park. It's very well kept. There's always kids around. The playground has 2 play areas ontop of multiple obstacle stations and everyrhing is updated equipment. The playground area also has a nice boundary of wall that keeps the kids playing inside while allowing room to sit as a parent. Right next to the playground is a moderate skate park also usually occupied by kids and parents. The grass is also welp kept and plenty of room for running around/activities. Parking is very close. There is also a welp kept area for parties and eating with plenty of tables that over looks the playground. Only downside is the bathrooms were locked unfortunately for...
