Great place in the Centerville area for the dogs to play. It is spacious so that the dogs can get out and run around without their leashes. There are 2 sides, one for the smaller dogs and the other for the bigger dogs. Since we have 4 small dogs and a standard poodle, we took all 5 in the small side and let them play for an hour. Our Chinese Crested is the only young one and he ran almost the entire time there. It allowed for him to stretch his little legs as well as play with some younger dogs out there. The park is open early in the morning and stays open till 11 pm.
There are all times of dogs that come here. Some are here daily which allows for the dogs to become acquainted better. The 2 parks are located in the back of the main entrance of Lenora Park. While tgey have some poop bags available, I would highly recommend bringing your own as well as some bottled water to share. Many people bring bottled water so the dogs can have some, but it is nice to have some just in case. Bring your dogs out and enjoy the company of otger humans while the dogs...
Read moreGwinnett county has several beautiful parks, but my favorite is Lenora Park which is about a 7min. drive from my home. Lenora Park has plenty of beautiful green space to spread out blankets for relaxing or reading, paved walking trails, a fishing lake, community garden, softball fields, disc golf course, separate dog parks for large and small dogs, pavilion, grill, playground, restrooms and a 2 court gymnasium for basketball and pickleball. There’s also a seasonal pool. I go here often just to enjoy nature and being outdoors weather permitting. I especially enjoy walking in Lenora Park during the Fall season as it’s beautiful to see the many trees changing colors. Lenora park is also my go to location for early voting. Lenora Park is about to undergo some major improvements with revitalizing and expanding the gym into a community recreation center that will have a dance studio, art classroom, kitchen and will include an upper-level balcony with a two-way walking track. I’m excited and looking forward to seeing the progress while on my walks...
Read moreThe park is esthetically beautiful with the bridges and pond, and great for walking, but not cycling. I really wish people would stay to the right instead of cluelessly veering themselves, their dogs, and baby carriages into the middle or left lane. It's not that hard. Do people drive like this? They are mostly selfish and careless of the fact that people actually DO ride bikes and how their putting their family's lives in danger. Sometimes a group will spread out wide, taking up the entire trail. You can yell that you're coming through and they don't even hear you coming. I may have to buy a fog horn. I don't recommend this park for cyclists, especially on weekends.
Also I've only been to the park twice and find the arrows and trails very confusing. It's easy to get lost. I had no idea where I was most of the time. I doubt that...
