Lula Lake Land Trust — Attraction in Fort Oglethorpe

Since they keep DELETING the truth, I will copy and paste this TRUTHFUL INFORMATION and keep adding it under different names. VERIFY anything that I tell you for yourself. #1 "Lula Lake" - is NOT a lake. It is a large "swimming hole" on Rock Creek. #2 This land is OWNED by the Davenport family. Who are the "Davenports"? Um, they are the billionaires that own the Krystal hamburger corporation as well as several other restaurant chains. Google up the name Davenport & enjoy the TRUTH. They bought hundreds & thousands of acres of this property & had it classified as a "Land Trust". Want to know why? So they can use it as a tax write off. Then they charge US - honest and genuine Americans money - at THEIR LEISURE - to visit a gift of God. A beautiful treasure. I have seen this since the 70's - as a child fishing Rock Creek - which was stocked with Rainbow Trout during that period. I saw it and walked it JUST BEFORE the SELFISH Davenports moved in and bought it. I fished this creek in the 70's. I WAS THERE. I am a Bradford and we own land that borders Bear Creek. The D's are trying to get THAT land too. Bear Creek flows into Cloudland Canyon - FYI. Cloudland Canyon can be visited DAILY and you can even camp there - ALL OF THIS FOR FREE!!!! .... So why do the D's CHARGE PEOPLE MONEY? Because they are arrogant and SELFISH. Their family goes to Lula Lake on a REGULAR BASIS - - when they do not allow OTHER AMERICANS to go there. Protest this and AVOID WASTING TIME...

I wanted to say thank you to the amazing staff on hand today. I was on your beautiful property with my husband, children and dogs.... we are avid hikers and an outdoor family and were very excited to spend the day hiking at the falls. We took our 3 dogs down multiple trails, and to the Bottom of the falls and they loved every minute. However, very abruptly and unexpectedly our English Bulldog had a heart attack on the last stretch back to the parking lot. Your staff did everything they could to help, from allowing me to drive down the trail, to helping my children with our other dogs and calling the local vet for help. Sadly our Rocco didn’t make it and took the walk over the Rainbow Bridge. We will never forget our perfect and amazing day at Lula Falls and will cherish every memory made. But, again thank you to all the wonderful people working today that helped in every way possible. I truly felt they would have done anything to help my family. We will be back again to visit when the time is right. He loved to hike, even though he sounded like a freight train after just a few yards and was scared to death of water we knew he was 100% enjoying his time today. I wish I could give 0 stars. It is absolutely disgusting, greedy, and ludicrous to charge the prices this place does to visit land they didn’t discover. On top of that, they profusely lie about accessibility - first and last weekends are open gate days? What a joke. We drove here all the way from Indiana and had high hopes for this place just to see it closed for 4th of July, the FIRST weekend of the month? And if the owners of the Land Trust decide to have their family there? Whole area is closed off just for them. Privilege at its finest. Do yourself a solid and PLEASE read the lowest reviews - they’re 100% accurate. On top of that, they try to defend themselves as a nonprofit but charge for RESERVATIONS to visit their land trust? Such a beautiful area, avoid wasting your time and just go to Cloudland Canyon for a $5/carload fee to have full access to the land.
